SAC Aluminum and Steel Combination Drop Deck Trailer

The SAC version of our single drop trailer combines the advantages of the strongest steel in the lightest form possible, together with aluminum to produce a trailer that is lightweight and sturdy. The main rails, kingpin section, suspension and under-ride protect are made of steel while the balance of the trailer is aluminum, including the front and rear bolster, knee braces, cross members and outside rails. With the use of so many aluminum components, those concerned with the weight of a trailer will find this model most satisfying.

Load Rating

  • Normal Duty - For normal cargo loads equally distributed through out most of the trailer length and limited reduced areas. On highway applications.
  • Extreme Duty - For moderately heavy cargo loads equally distributed through out most of the trailer length and loaded over reduced areas. On highway applications.
  • Severe Duty - For heavy cargo loads equally distributed through out most of the trailer length and loaded over smaller areas. On highway and limited off highway applications.
