    • Health & Safety Advisor

      The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for making recommendations on preventative or corrective safety measures taking into account legislative requirements. Promotes and communicates safety practices, policies and procedures to employees in a positive manner.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • The Safety Advisor will assist in correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
      • Assist in Emergency response to incidents, including initial hazard control and assessment of the scene and providing first aid, etc.
      • Assist in Investigation of Incidents that have occurred within a timely manner, including assessment of the incident, hazard identification, exposure assessment and controls.
      • Administer and track the weekly inspection reports, follow up with any non-conformance and issues. (Departmental, Crane, Rigging, Forklift, etc)
      • Assist in the review and creation of the company’s Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Procedures and Risk assessments.
      • Conduct plant inspections, both formal and informal, for potential hazards, identify those potential hazards, assess the risks through risk assessment and report potential hazards.
      • Conducting safety training including both formal classroom training as well as hands on practical training. This may include but is not limited to forklift training, crane training, WHIMIS training, etc.
      • Administrative tasks: keep records of daily activities including inspection reports, and incident investigations, maintains safety training records and maintain reference materials.
      • Other duties as required

      Qualifications:

      • Occupational Safety and Health experience and/or post-secondary education with Health and Safety Professional (HSP) designation an asset.
      • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
      • Strong trouble shooting skills.
      • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and presentation skills along with demonstrated experience.
      • Thorough knowledge of both Federal and Provincial legislation, safety practices and compliance matters.
      • High degree of confidentiality and discretion.
      • Well developed time management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
      • Proficient in all Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
      • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings and training programs.

    • Trailer Assembly

      Our assembly team follow blueprints to build metal trailers from prefabricated parts, including tasks such as: drilling, bolting, and riveting together metal sheeting, upright frames, bottom and top bars, using pneumatic and hydraulic hand tools and machines.

      Responsibilities:

      • Uses hand tools, power tools, equipment to assemble/fabricate parts according to specifications on flat deck and/or grain trailers
      • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

      Qualifications:

      • Must know how to read a tape measure and convert simple measurement
      • Experience with hand and air/power tools
      • Mechanical assembly and previous manufacturing experience as asset
      • Self motivated and time managements skills
      • Safety oriented

      Physical Requirements:

      • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs work in a fast paced environment
      • Regularly perform repetitive tasks, high physical activity
      • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

    • Production & CI Administration

      We are now accepting applications for a Production & CI Administration position to join the Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for providing administrative support to production and the CI (Continuous Improvement) program.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Provide Administration and CI support to production managers and supervisors, including maintaining of the CI File system.
      • Schedule, organize and present the CI Lunch and Learns and other CI events.
      • Processing and providing support with various standard operating procedures (SOPs) including maintaining the SOP files/documentation.
      • Perform administrative duties including: data processing, photocopying, scanning, mailings and filing as required.

      Qualifications & Skills
      • Must have strong English communication skills, verbal and written; comfortable communicating and presenting in front of employees
      • Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, Publisher and MS Outlook knowledge is required
      • Team player with good interpersonal & strong time management skills

    • Cleaner

      We are now accepting applications for a full-time Cleaner.  The hours for this position are from 7:00 – 3:30, Monday-Friday.

      Responsibilities:

      • Clean floors and rooms, including sweeping, damp mopping, vacuuming, dusting
      • Clean restrooms, including restocking dispensers, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, and cleaning toilets and urinals
      • Empty trash and replace liners
      • Prepare coffee for employee breaks and ensure condiments are stocked & replenished
      • Perform additional duties as needed

      Desired Skills:

      • Previous cleaning experience considered an asset
      • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for short periods of time
      • Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks with minimal supervision
      • Ability to communicate in English

    • Huck Riveter

      The Huck Riveter position is responsible for riveting multiple parts and assemblies on a variety of flat deck and step deck trailers.

      Responsibilities:
      • Use hydraulic riveter along with other hand tools and power tools to assemble parts according to specifications on flat deck and step deck trailers
      • Tape trailer when they arrive on line, covering steel parts
      • Installation of I-beams, front & rear bolster and side rails
      • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

      Qualifications:
      • Must know how to read a tape measure and convert simple measurement
      • Experience with hand and air/power tools
      • Mechanical assembly and previous manufacturing experience as asset
      • Self motivated and time managements skills
      • Safety oriented

    • Emmegi Machine Operator (Night Shift)

      We are now accepting applications for a Emmegi Machine Operator on our night shift.  The machine operator programs and operates the machine to produce parts as required.

      Responsibilities:

      • Evaluates part quality to detect tool or process malfunction or out-of-tolerance conditions

      Qualifications:

      • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
      • High attention to detail and self motivation skills

      Physical Requirements:

      • Regularly lift 10-50 pounds

    • Welders

      Welders have a primary responsibility of MIG welding of steel or aluminum components and parts in a manufacturing production line. You will weld components together using welding knowledge and techniques/symbols using blueprints and shop work instructions.

      Responsibilities:

      • Create quality welds according to blueprints and drawings using MIG welding procedures
      • Clean and prepare parts for welding
      • Work with tolerance, maintain high quality welds and inspect welds for accuracy
      • Change wire and gas tanks as required
      • Maintain safe work procedures
      • Troubleshoot and problem solve weld issues

      Qualifications:

      • All applicants for this position are subject to an internal welding test
      • You must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform quality workmanship
      • Previous experience welding in a manufacturing environment
      • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
      • All welders at Lode King are required to be CWB tested and obtain tickets specific to the company’s needs

      Responsibilities:

      • Use hand and power tools to clean trailers by scraping welding splatter
      • Sanding and buffing trailers before and after the trailer is primed and painted
      • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
      • Maintain a clean and safe work area
